Hours & Policies

General Policies

As a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), I follow a Code of Ethics dictated by the State of California. I treat clients ethically and fairly to establish an atmosphere of trust and respect in order to promote physical and emotional safety.

Unwind in Peace works exclusively with women.

Zero-Tolerance Protocol

Unwind in Peace has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior, and draping is required during the entire massage. In the event a client displays inappropriate behavior, comments, and/or assaults the therapist, the session will end immediately. The client will be charged in full and leave the premises. No future appointments will be accepted. I reserve the right to call the police and file a report.

Punctuality

Clients agree to arrive 5 minutes prior to their appointment time. This allows time to complete forms and discuss the treatment plan for the session. If a client arrives late, services may be shortened and charged the original rate in order to maintain the schedule.

Not arriving within 15 minutes of an appointment will be considered a no-show and full payment will be charged to the card on file.

Cancellations

At least 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, for any reason, will be charged the full amount of the session.

Cancelling and/or rescheduling (3x in a row), without keeping an appointment, will result in loss of booking privileges. This includes cancellations and/or rescheduling made within the 24 hour time limit.

Illness

Please cancel or reschedule as soon as possible if you are feeling ill or have a fever. If a client arrives visibly ill, the therapist will not perform the massage, and the client will be charged the full rate of the session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, for any reason, will be charged the full amount.

Unwind in Peace reserves the right to decline massage in cases it could be potentially harmful to the client or therapist.

No Call/No Show

In the event that a client fails to show up for their appointment without giving notice they will be charged the full amount for the session.  Not arriving within 15 minutes of an appointment will be considered a no-show and full payment will be charged to the card on file. I reserve the right to refuse future services after a no call/no show.

Payment

A valid credit card is required to reserve an appointment.  Cards on file will only be charged when an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or is a no-show. Payment is due in-person at the time of service.

Cash is preferred and major credit cards are also accepted. Gratuity is not accepted at Unwind in Peace.

Insurance

Unwind in Peace does not offer direct billing to insurance companies and can provide a receipt for the session when requested. Payment is due at the time of service.
