Policies

Policies are intended as protection for the business so that I can continue to sustainably serve clients. These policies are non-negotiable. All clients must agree to the policies below in order to schedule a session. My relationship with clients is based on mutual respect and trust.

Unwind in Peace works exclusively with women. Pregnancy massage and/or firm-heavy handed massage are not offered. Contact me for therapist recommendations.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments cancelled or changed, for any reason, with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full amount of the session.
Really, for any reason: illness, emergencies, bad weather, car trouble, etc.  The good news: I honor my policy in reverse.

Rescheduling can be done with no fees with more than 24 hours notice. If you ever feel like you won’t be able to make your appointment, please text me (916-884-4785) as soon as possible.

Frequent Cancelling-Rescheduling Policy

Cancelling and/or rescheduling 3 times, without keeping an appointment, will result in loss of booking privileges. This includes changes made with more than 24 hours notice.

No-Show Policy

In the event a client fails to show for their appointment, the full amount for the session will be charged to the card on file, and future appointments will be denied.

Arriving late, 15 mins or more, to an appointment will be considered a no-show and full payment will be charged to the card on file. 

Illness Policy

Feeling sick or have a fever? Rescheduling can be done with no fees when more than 24 hours notice is given. If you ever feel like you won’t be able to make your appointment, please text me (916-884-4785) as soon as possible.

Clients arriving sick, will have their service denied, and will be charged the full rate of the session.

I reserve the right to decline massage in cases where it could be potentially harmful to the client or therapist.

Punctuality Policy

Returning Clients agree to arrive 5 minutes prior to their appointment time (10 mins for New Clients). Late arrival may shorten the original session time and will be charged the full rate.

Arriving late, 15 minutes or more to an appointment, will be considered a no-show with the full payment charged to the card on file.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

Unwind in Peace has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. In the event a client displays inappropriate behavior, comments, and/or assaults the therapist, the session will end immediately. The client will be charged in full and leave the premises. No future appointments will be accepted. I reserve the right to call the police and file a report.

Payment Policy

A valid credit card is required to reserve an appointment. Payment is due, in-person, at the time of service. 

Cash is preferred and major credit cards are also accepted. Gratuity is not accepted. 

Insurance

Unwind in Peace does not offer direct billing to insurance companies. Full payment is due, in-person, at the time of service. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.
